Since 2024, the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON has been one of the six attractive stops in the SuperHalfs series.

Lisbon
“Beautiful light” is the name of the beautiful metropolis on the Tagus. Here you can lose yourself on endless walks through the alleyways of the Alfama or the Bairro Alto, be enchanted by the world-weariness of traditional fado music, explore historic market halls and feast and enjoy excellent fish restaurants.

With 27,000 participants, the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon is the biggest running event in Portugal. The course, on which Jacob Kiplimo from Uganda set the then world record of 57:31 min in 2021, runs mostly flat along the banks of the Tagus and past historical monuments such as the Torre de Belém and the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos monastery. The start on the imposing April 25th bridge with a view of the Christ monument on the south bank of the Tagus is an unforgettable experience. In 2024, Amanal Petros, the German marathon and half marathon record holder, ran to a strong third place in the Portuguese capital.

Prague
Romantic and bustling, ancient and modern. Prague is always worth a visit. Diversity at every turn, each district has its own individual style. Whether you're looking for Franz Kafka or the nearest beer bar, a trip through the golden city on the Vltava is always a trip to remember.

The Prague Half Marathon is a spectacular race. The route is pure sightseeing: Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, the National Theater, Vyšehrad Castle and the Rudolfinum Concert Hall. There is plenty to see along the way. Runners and fans experience a party atmosphere that attracts people from all over the world to return to the Golden City year after year. Here, schoolchildren meet the fastest top athletes in the world. The course is flat, fast and at the same time very varied. The Prague Half Marathon was established 25 years ago to inspire people in the Czech Republic to lead an attractive, healthy and happy life. It has since become one of the most popular half marathons in Europe.

Copenhagen
In Copenhagen and its beautiful surroundings, you can experience why Danes are among the happiest people in the world. Modern architecture, history, culture and a vibrant music scene combine with sustainable living and international gastronomy. The capital of Denmark is one of the top city trip destinations.
Copenhagen Half Marathon on September 14, 2025.
Although it has only been around since 2015, the Copenhagen Half Marathon is already known worldwide. Geoffrey Kamworor from Kenya is the main reason for this, having broken the then world record of 58:01 minutes in 2019. In 2018, Sifan Hassan ran the still valid European record of 65:15 minutes. The Copenhagen Half Marathon is also a fantastic race for everyone else involved. The route is like a perfect sightseeing tour. It passes the Stock Exchange, the Marble Church and Christiansborg Palace, where the Danish Parliament meets and where the Prime Minister has her seat. After 21.0975 km, thousands of spectators await the finishers on one of Copenhagen's most famous boulevards, Frederiksberg Avenue.

Cardiff
The capital of Wales is a modern, young and lively city that lives up to the term multi-cultural. The city center offers great shopping opportunities and a colorful mix of culture and history: from the historic castle to pretty arcades, many small stores, boutiques, bars, cafés and trendy restaurants.

Since its premiere in 2003, the Cardiff Half Marathon has become one of the UK's leading road races. With 27,500 participants each year, the race is regularly sold out. The race is one of the largest half marathons in Europe - a strong development considering that only 1,500 runners took part the first time around. The route passes the landmarks of the capital of Wales. These include the beautiful Cardiff Bay and Cardiff Castle, which dates back to the twelfth century. Thousands cheer on the runners in a city known for its passion for sport. In 2016, the World Half Marathon Championships were held here.

Valencia
Mild climate, Mediterranean flair and the sea at your feet. Plus vibrant cultural life, a cozy old town and futuristic buildings. This is Valencia. The city of contrasts between classic and avant-garde is the ideal backdrop for a short trip. Paella on the beach is just one of many culinary delights.

The Royal Spanish Athletics Federation has awarded the Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich the title of best half marathon in Spain. Anyone who takes part in this amazing race will see why. It is not only the best, but also the fastest marathon in the country. And possibly the course through the center of the Mediterranean city is also the fastest in the world. The route is constantly being optimized to ensure that it offers as much of an authentic city experience as possible. This course has already proven just how fast it is: Four world records have already been set in Valencia since 2017. The fastest women's time to date was set in 2021, when Ethiopian Letesenbet Giday won in 62:52 minutes ahead of her compatriot Yalemzerf Yehualaw (63:51 minutes). Overall, the top 5 fastest women's half marathon times were all run in Valencia. Eight of the ten fastest men in the world have achieved their best times here. Yomif Kejelcha's (Ethiopia) world half marathon record hammered into Valencia's hot asphalt on October 27, 2024 is one of them. It doesn't get any better than this!
