
As is already usual for some events in the SuperHalfs series, race entries for runners in the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON will now also be allocated by lottery.
The 45th anniversary edition of the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON on March 29, 2026, is expected to attract a great deal of interest in participating. Thanks to the lottery system, all interested athletes have an equal chance of getting a race entry during the registration period.
Registration for the lottery for ace entries is possible from April 10 to May 22, 2025. All participants in the draw will automatically receive the draw result by e-mail on June 2, 2025.
The GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON is organized in accordance with the regulations of the German Athletics Association (DLV) and World Athletics (WA) under the supervision of the Berlin Athletics Association (BLV).
- All runners born in 2010 and older are eligible to participate
- Nordic walkers are not permitted
- Walkers are permitted as long as they stay within the time limit of 3 hours 15 minutes
The participation fee for the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2026 is €89.
You will only be debited AFTER the draw at the beginning of June and only if you have been allocated a race entry.
- 3:15 h (from crossing the start line to the finish line)
Participants who exceed the time limit of 3 hours 15 minutes (based on the participant's speed) must leave the official route and continue on the sidewalk or be driven to the finish line in the “broom bus”.
Single runners
- Register for the lottery via your personal user account.
- Check your registration carefully, as no more changes are possible once registration is complete.
- You will automatically receive an e-mail with your lottery result on June 2, 2025.
Teams with 2-3 runners
Registration
- Each team member needs their own user account.
- When registering, the first person indicates that this is a team registration and chooses a name for the team.
- Once registration is complete, a team code is sent with the registration confirmation. Please note that it may take up to half an hour for the e-mail to arrive in your mailbox.
- This code must be passed on to the other 1-2 team members.
- The other members of the team select “Join an existing team” when registering and enter the code. This code cannot be added later.
- Each team member completes the registration themselves, enters payment details and receives confirmation by e-mail.
Participation
Participation
- If the team is drawn in the lottery, all members of the team receive a race entry.
- There is no team ranking. Each person is starts and is listed individually in the results list.
- If a team member is unable to run after the draw, this has no effect on the other members of the team. A subsequent nomination is not possible.
Clothing bag or poncho
In 2026, a warming and reusable poncho awaits all finishers at the finish line. This is free of charge and can be a great reminder of your run and the anniversary marathon. Alternatively, a clothing bag can be booked for € 5 if desired. Please note that if you book a clothing bag, there will unfortunately be no poncho waiting for you at the finish line. The selection made during registration is binding and cannot be changed afterwards.

- Will be provided for you automatically if no clothing bag has been booked.
- You save time, since you do not need to queue at the clothing drop-off.
- On the race day you can NOT drop-off any clothes nor any valuables or bring any luggage to the start area.
- You will find the corresponding poncho symbol on your bib number.
- You will get the warming and reusable poncho after crossing the finish line.
Free of charge

- With your race kit you will get a transparent clothing bag and a sticker with your start number for the bag.
- Clothing and valuables have to be packed into the clothing bag in order to enter the starting area.
- All objects need to be packed separately and loosely. You may not put other bags in your clothing bag.
- You drop off your clothing bag at the indicated tent and retrieve it there after you finished.
- You do NOT get a poncho!

The GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON has been part of the SuperHalfs series since 2024.
SuperHalfs is an association of originally five, now six renowned running organizers from Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia. The SuperHalfs series offers runners a unique and challenging experience as they complete half marathons in these famous European cities.
You can register free of charge with SuperHalfs to receive a SuperPassport. Then enter your SuperPassport number when you register for the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2026.
