The run that harmonises culture and sport
In 1775, Goethe came to the cultural capital of Weimar and took German literature to a new level. Weimar itself became the epitome of German culture. Goethe loved physical activity and was said to be fond of ice skating. He hiked, but probably didn't walk as we understand it. He would undoubtedly have taken part in such an innovative experience as the Goethe.Culture.Run, because culture and sport go hand in hand at this event.
Cultural breaks on the theme of Goethe along the running routes
With its so-called cultural breaks, the Goethe.Culture.Run is not to be understood as a classic competition. The eight cultural stations are located directly along the routes of the various distances and serve as entertaining breaks for participants to experience the theme of Goethe. A total of four competitions from 4.2 to 25.6 kilometres are on offer.
