This year's edition will see it's opening race on 14th May (to be confirmed) in the South Korean city of Incheon and then hit Rennes, France (22nd May), then Dijon, France (12th June), then Ostrava, Czech Republic (18th June) before reaching the final at the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON on 24th September.
The 36th edition of the Berlin Half Marathon is fully booked. Three and a half months prior to the start on April 3rd, 2016 near Alexanderplatz in the center of the German capital the participation limit of 30,000 runners has been reached. There are a few spots left at the official charity partners and tour operators.
On Monday noon, 1,000 charity starting places for the 2016 BMW BERLIN-MARATHON were sold out. We thank you on behalf of the “RTL Spendenmarathon” for the support of the runners. 60 Euros of the payment for those places, will go directly to the RTL Donation Marathon ("RTL-Spendenmarathon") for children in need.

After only 56:49 minutes, Bart Swings of Belgium crossed the finish line at the 42nd BMW BERLIN-MARATHON Inline Skating, thus setting a fantastic new course record. It also meant his third victory in a row in Berlin. In the women’s race, Sandrine Tas, also from Belgium, was the first one to cross the finish line. With a total of 5,585 registered participants, the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON once again maintained its position as the largest inline marathon in the world.
Everyone who entered the race entry drawing (Single runner and Team) from October 19 to November 1 for the 2016 BMW BERLIN-MARATHON will receive an Email on December 1 with the results of the drawing.
Everyone who qualified as a “fast runner” will receive notification then as well.

Only 5,000 spots are left at the 2016 BERLIN HALFMARATHON which will take place on April 3, 2016. Last year the race sold out at the beginning of December, and it seems that this will happen even earlier this time. The participation limit is set to 30,000 runners.
Only 4 more days: At midnight on Sunday, November 1, 2015, the registration period for the 2016 BMW BERLIN MARATHON will be ending — for the race entry drawing as well as for direct registration for the “fast runners”.
The only “fair” way to accommodate the overwhelming interest in the race both nationally and internationally is to have an entry drawing. Everyone then has the same chance at a starting spot when there is a longer timeframe to register (October 19 (12:00 noon CET) to November 1, 2015). The limit of participants remains at 40,000.

The 42nd edition of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON promises to be a hunt for superfast times and Olympic qualifying performances when the starting gun is fired at 9 o’clock on Sunday morning to set 41,224 runners from 131 countries in motion along the Avenue of June 17.
Talk about the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON has so often been about records, with speculation about who can make their mark on history by breaking the world record, but this Sunday’s race put the emphasis on competition as Thursday’s press conference for the elite women confirmed.
