NEW YORK, NY - (November 11) - The ‘Marathons’ television program

President of AIMS, and Ambrose Salmini, President of Salmini Films, the series

producer.

Marathons, a monthly television series dedicated to the coverage of major

marathons and road race events from around the world, is broadcast in

approximately 80 countries with a reach of 240 million potential viewers. By

the end of this year, Salmini Films will further increase its viewer reach to

over 125 countries.

“The support and enthusiasm of AIMS, whose membership includes the top

marathon and road race events from around the world, will greatly accelerate

the worldwide reach of the series and facilitate access to event footage.

We’re very excited about teaming with AIMS,” explains Salmini.

President of AIMS Hiroaki Chosa comments “Road running is a growing sport

but with great competition of opportunities for people’s leisure time it

essential that AIMS actively promotes the sport throughout the world. This

initiative with its Global reach is one of many ways we are innovatively

promoting road running.

“We have always sought an international broadcast partner and the

Marathons team provides that,” notes Chosa of AIMS. “The production

values of the series are first class and the program’s distribution is

growing each month. Combined with the continued growth of event participants in

road races around the world, this series will be a great plus for our member

races for truly international promotion.” Marathons is now distributed

throughout the Fox Sports International network, with outlets throughout

Central and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Each episode of Marathons

receives multiple airs on all of Fox’s international outlets.

In the United States, Marathons is now carried by both Fox Sports World and

Fox Sports World Espanol. “Now, events in the U.S. can be showcased to a

national and international audience. Sponsors, race directors and athletes

alike have been extremely responsive to the series,” adds Salmini. Jody

Cleveland, Executive Producer of Marathons, notes, “As the only program

of its kind, race directors utilize the program as an opportunity to promote

their event to a worldwide audience, increase event revenue, extend benefits to

their event sponsors, and add value to their AIMS membership.”

Salmini adds, “For program sponsors, Marathons can serve as a global

platform to target runners, a desirable consumer audience. Sponsorship also

provides an opportunity for companies to leverage their existing participation

with road race events, elite athletes, as well as their alliances with trade

associations such as AIMS.”
