Hendrick Ramaala two-times the champion and runner-up last
year will chase a third title at the BUPA Great North Run on Sunday.
The 33-year-old South African winner of the 1997 race and again two
years ago, has made a late entry for what promises to a superfast
13.1miles road race from Newcastle to South Shields. Ramaala the
reigning New York City marathon champion, will again go head-to-head
with Dejene Berhanu who 12 months ago in brilliant style became the
GNR's first-ever winner from Ethiopia.
Berhanu with a pulsating run, ran the fastest half
marathon performance ever witnessed on British soil with a winning time
of 59:37 minutes.Now the pair are set for what looks being
