The original letter

Madame, Monsieur, lors du dernier marathon de Berlin du 29 septembre 2002,

au 25 ème kilomètre, jai été victime dun infarctus.

Grâce à votre excellente organisation, les services de secours

sont intervenus très rapidement. Jai été

réanimé sur place et ensuite transporté à

lHôpital Universitaire Benjamen Franklin de Berlin où jai subi 3

coronarographies. Après 20 jours dhôpital, soit le 16 octobre, jai

pu regagner mon domicile en Suisse.

Grâce à la compétence et à la rapidité

dintervention de votre Team Médicale, je fais toujours partie du monde

des vivant. Je tiens à vous exprimer ma plus vive reconnaissance ainsi

que mes remerciements les plus sincères.

Dear ladies and gentlemen, During this years Berlin Marathon on September

29th, I suffered a heart attack at the 25 km mark. Thanks to your excellent

organisation, the rescue team was able to assist me very quickly. I was

reanimated on site and then taken to the Berlin university clinic Benjamin

Franklin, where I had a triple by-pass surgery.

After 20 days in the hospital, on October 16th, I was able to return to my

Swiss domicile. Thanks to the competent and swift intervention by your medical

team, I am today still among the living.

From the depths of my heart, I would like to share my deep respect and great

gratitude to you.
