The anniversary event of the 30th real,- BERLIN-MARATHON on September 27/28,
2003 will bring new changes, not only with the start and finish at the
Brandenburg Gate and with a change of course through Berlin, but also with the
Sport and Health Trade Fair that will accompany the event.
The new name demonstrates the modification: "Berlin VITAL"
signifies a change in course in this area, as well. The new trade fair halls
8.1, 8.2, 10.1, 10.2., 11.2, and 18 will make the area more spacious and open
for the exhibitors, marathon participants and trade show visitors. In addition,
information in the areas of health, nutrition, and sport innovation are to be
developed and improved through special thematic areas. The heart of the fair
will remain the distribution of the race numbers to the participants of the
30th real,- BERLIN- MARATHON. The participants of the marathon must pick up
their numbers during the trade fair (no numbers can be picked up on race day
(sunday)).
The extensive pasta lounge is also integrated in the "Berlin
VITAL" fair and will offer the runners and visitors a non-stop pasta party
each day of the fair. The six halls will offer a total of 15,000 m² of
exhibition and activity areas, supplemented by the representative entrance area
of hall 19 (honorary hall) across from the Sender Freies Berlin station on
Masurenallee.
Large parking areas in front of the halls will make visiting the
"Berlin VITAL" fair easy for the guests and exhibitors. The public
transportation connections by bus and subway have also become more convenient.
A further advantage for the visitors of the trade fair is the proximity of the
summer garden, where the bambini race will take place on Saturday and which can
also be used for an outdoor pasta party.
The opening times for the "Berlin VITAL" fair are:
Thursday, September 25, 2003 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday, September 26, 2003 from noon to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 27, 2003 from 9 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The organisers of "Berlin VITAL 2003" expect over 100,000
visitors. In addition to the participants of the real,- BERLIN-MARATHON and
their accompanying persons, they also expect numerous recreational athletes
from Berlin and Brandenburg to attend. Everyone interested in stamina sports in
the largest sense is invited (running, skating, biking, triathlon, swimming),
as well as all those interested in obtaining information about leading a
healthy and athletic way of life.
With "Berlin VITAL", the fair organisers of the real,-
BERLIN-MARATHON and SCC-RUNNING are thus presenting the largest trade fair in
this area in the Federal Republic of Germany.
