The 1st International Endurance and Sports Medicine Congress in cooperation

with the 29th real,- BERLIN-MARATHON will take place from Sept. 26th –

Sept. 28th, 2002 in the metropolitan Berlin.

The Congress is presented by:

• Humboldt-University to Berlin
  Department of Sports medicine
• real,- BERLIN-MARATHON
• BAS – Berlin Academy of Sports Medicine

Starting in 2002, this congress is supposed to become a major event for

anybody working in the field of endurance sports and sports medicine or

science. This congress mainly focus on participants specializing in the field

of preventive or rehabilitative sports medicine. Beyond that, it also aims to

address physicians who are less experienced with the issues of sports

medicine.

Well known experts of sports medicine will give a review lecture on

following main topics of the congress:

• Internal Medicine
• Physiology of performance
• Orthopedics and Traumatology in Endurance Sports
• Nutrition

Participants are invited to compete for a scientific award.
